This beginner level class is perfect for first-time musicians. Students will learn the basics of traditional music in a classroom setting, and will get to play with other in our session corner, regular class sessions and our branch bands.
We offer tuition in a range of instruments including:
The intermediate class builds on the skills acquired in the beginner class. Students will continue working with their instrument and learning more tunes. Participation in Competitions is supported at this stage, but is not mandatory.
We have very a talented and highly regarded teaching team that will also work for Advanced Students interested in mastering their instruments and thriving in Fleadh Competition.
In the 2024 Fleadh in Wexford, the branch was well represented by our teaching cohort.

We're fortunate to have also piping legend Matt Bashford, as well as a number of fantastic local and university musicians in the teaching team
Lessons are in the lovely Maynooth Post Primary School from 7 to 9 on Wednesday evenings. Our classes are for all ages and are graded by ability.
In general Beginner lessons will start at 7, followed by Intermediate at 7:40 and Improved / Advanced at 8:20.
We have 2 terms per year: Sept-Dec & Jan-May.
